Why choose a Cooee Cavoodle?
Well Bred
Our first cross cavoodles are carefully bred for both a gentle nature and good health. Our pedigree King Charles Cavalier mothers are matched with Rufus, our pedigree Minature Poodle or Duke our Toy poodle. Both the maternal and paternal lines have been selected for longivity and intelligence.
Well raised
Living on a large property we can guarantee that our dogs have plenty of space, exercise and fresh air. The adult dogs and pups are raised with our children and are loved pets. They are fed on a quality diet including Advanced dog biscuits, fresh bones, vegies and meat and our dogs thrive!
Accredited Breeder
Cooee Cavoodles is registered with Responsible Pet Breeders Australia (RPBA No. 4264) and through this registration process are subject to veterinary audit. Carefull record keeping is undertaken, documenting the care with which the puppies are raised. All puppies are microchipped and our NSW Breeder Identification Number (BIN) is B000814222. We also have an ABN and are registered for GST.
Health Guaranteed
Our pup's parents are DNA tested and vet health screened prior to breeding so we can be sure that their pups are free of testable genetic diseases. The pups come with a 12 month health guarantee and are vaccinated and wormed. All puppies are comprehensively vet checked prior to leaving for their new homes.

Are your breeding dogs DNA tested?
Yes, all of the parental breeding stock are DNA tested. We can provide copies of DNA tests undertaken by Orivet and guarantee that our pups will not go on to develop any genetic condition that can be detected with a DNA test. This includes PRA, degenerative myelopothay, Curley Coat Dry Eye and other testable genetic conditions.
Why a Cavoodle?
Available in many colours, cavoodles are a cross between a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles. The breed inherits the easy going nature of the Cavalier and the intelligence and the non shedding coat of a Poodle. The stronger cardiovascular system and slightly longer nose (for less breathing problems) are other important poodle traits held by the cavoodle. Like most cross breeds, the cavoodle benefits from hybrid vigour and the cavoodle pup is likely to be more robust than either of it's parents.
A miniture cavoodle will grow to about 30-45cm at the shoulder and weigh about 8-10kg. Mini cavoodles are big enough to pat without bending too far down and keep up on a long walk or run. Mini cavoodles are small enought to take on car trips and sit on your lap for a cuddle.
Do your dogs come desexed?
No. We do not recommend de-sexing before six months of age to allow for natural physical development. We recommend de-sexing between 6 and twelve months, however consult with your vet about the best option in your individual situation and check the requirements for discounted registration in your State.
Are your puppies familiar with children?
Yes, we have five kids aged between four and fourteen. They and their friends love when it is puppy time. The pups and their parents get lots of love and affection from children. The pups also become accustomed to the sometimes unpredictable behaviour of children. The first 16 weeks is a crucial time in the development of a new puppy. Whether your dog will have a little or a lot to do with children, it is important that they are exposed to as many different experiences as possible in this important early socialisation period.
Should I just get a rescue dog?
Yes!!! If you can find a rescue dog that is a good fit, please make it a part of your family. We suggest try rspca.org.au or search for 2nd chance oodles on Facebook. You may find it difficult to find smaller, young, non-shedding dog available for rescue. This is why we feel that breeding our healthy, happy puppies is an important part of making sure that people have a dog that suits their needs and their lifestyle. We are confident that our puppies will be loved and looked after for their lifetime and will not contribute to the numbers of dogs in pounds and shelters and offer a lifetime rehoming guarantee.
Do you have a returns policy?
Yes. We have a three day cooling off period in which you may return the pup for any reason with a refund (excluding the deposit and transport expenses).
We also have a lifetime rehoming policy. In as much as we view the adoption of a dog as a lifetime commitment, we know that sadly sometimes circumstances change. If you cannot find a home for your well-bred and well socialised dog within your own network of friends and family, we are happy to assist you find it a new home or welcome it back to our family.
Are there any health guarantees?
Yes, our pups parent's are genetically tested and and the pus are vet checked prior to moving to their new homes. Expenses for the treatment of preventable genetic and/or health problems present from birth that arise within the first 12 months of the dogs life are our responsibility up to the price of the pup. This also includes costs and veterinary care associated with any diseases or injuries present during the time of sale. Cooee Cavoodles will cover these costs up to the price of the pup (no more than the cost of the animal is claimable), or receive the dog back with a refund of the original cost of the dog (as well as taking responsibility for re-homing the animal), or replace the dog with a healthy individual.
What do you feed your dogs and puppies?
Our dogs and puppies are fed on Advance, a premium dog food. Each puppy will go to it's new home with a sample of dog food provided. In addition to their regular Advanced dry food, our adult dogs are supplemented with a range of foods including fresh chicken necks, raw bones from our own grass fed lambs, greek yougert, eggs and vegetables.
Can I purchase online?
Yes and No. You can't click a pup and add it to your cart, as we want to make sure that our pups go to the best of homes where they will be loved and given the care and affection that they need. After talking to you about your plans and determining if you are a good prospective puppy family, we happily accept online payment and can assist with travel arrangments for the pup to your home.

How many dogs do you have?
We have six Cavalier King Charles ladies (Pepper, Dot, Sukie, Sadie, Princess and Snow) a female mini poodle called Violet. We have a male poodle stud, Rufus. They are all much loved family pets and have a great time in and outside the house, running and playing with the kids, sneaking over to the dam for a quick swim or relaxing on the couch or the shady veranda. Dot, Sukie, Sadie, Princess and Snow are our mums to be and are yet to have a litter.
Our Cavalier Coco lives with a retired couple locally and will retire and live with them full time after her next litter.
Also a part of the Cooee Family is Rusty and Kel our Kelpie sheep dogs and our retired Cavalier, Trxie. We love dogs!!!
Can I come and visit the puppies?
Yes, visiting by appointment is permitted after the pups are six weeks of age and have received their first vaccination. This also gives you the opportunity to meet us and your prospective pup's mother and father. If you purchase a pup from us and are unable to come to collect it, we would welcome your visit in the months and years following the purchase of your pup.
How do I purchase a pup?
Please email us - carmquade@gmail.com or check on Facebook to find out about the puppies available. We call for expressions of interest when a litter is due, and then form a waiting list. We do prioritise homes where dogs will have space to play outside and where people will be home a lot of the time. A deposit of $500 is required to secure a puppy, which is credited toward the $3,500 purchase price payable prior to collection or transport. Formal receipts are provided for all payments. The deposit is fully refundable. We don't want anyone to feel under any pressure to progress with purchasing a dog if they later have second thoughts, or their circumstances change at short notice.
Do you transport your puppies?
Yes, we can arrange transport to most areas across Australia. We do prefer to place our dogs in homes that are closer to us. We travel to Yass to meet families from Sydney and Canberra.
